The shape of this ewer might have been borrowed from contemporary metal vessels. The globular body of this ewer is surmounted by a funnel-shaped neck which ends in an upright, which on one side ends is a tall rising and pointed spout. The buff earthenware biscuit is coated with a green lead glaze.

Similar vessels have been discovered at several sites in Central Asia. Their presently accepted date is between the early 12th to the early 13th century, and thus definitely pre- Mongol. - (AMD.010)
