Footed bowl, sgraffiato and splashed ware. Buff earthenware coated with a ground yellow slip into which the decoration was incised. It has a widely opened body with everted wide rim and rests on a short stem support. The base is decorated by three finely drawn and incised split palmettes partially painted green and the areas between show manganese-purple painted scrolls and peacock- eye motifs. Twisted scrolls runs around the rim, followed by green and manganese paintings. Afghanistan, 12th century. Comparative material: Khalili Collection, cat.nos. 362, 363,p.313.
